Shine Through
Shine Through Me
Dear Creator God,
When you created the world, you first created light. You yourself are light unto my soul and when I pay attention I am guided by that light. So here we are; I am challenged to reveal the light that I have been given down through the years in a way that others may experience a little of Your shining Presence and Love that my family has found as we follow You even to this very day. Today is January 6, 2017 and I am approaching my 75th birthday. That ¾ of a century has been a wild ride! I have learned not to anticipate what is around the corner, out of view and in the darkness, but to just take one step at a time into the light I am given.
The song “Shine Through Me” ( https://youtu.be/Ha8uRLFh2h0) speaks of how it only takes a little candle to light our part of this cold, dark world. Light my candle, Lord, and use its little beam to reveal Your true Self to anyone who takes the time to read our stories of how You move in and through us to lead others into your light. Truly do shine through me, through my words by the work of your Holy Spirit that has moved me to record a shining pathway that leads into your holy arms of love. Glory and praise and honor to you, O Shining Light of the World! AMEN
Music is an integral part of my life. Notes of joy and sweetness have become milestones of momentous changes down through my years. Talented faithful Christian artists have sung their way into my memory in melodious tunes reflecting their own pathways to God. Music itself has become a light for my path and created multiple markers in my mind recalling many major changes which drew me and my family closer and closer to being the people God created us to be. This blog is going to reveal that music with each story that influenced us with the words of every song. My prayer is that you will be able to find and embrace the songs and let them enhance your own walk with the Lord, deepening your soul’s ability to sing along as a witness to the very words and melodies of God’s work in all our lives.
Because of copyright restrictions, I have been unable to produce a CD that contains all the songs mentioned throughout this blog, but I have done the next best thing, listing online sites such as YouTube where you can find the songs in order to listen and enjoy the words, too. How blessed we are that the music goes on and on! Someday at the throne we will all be able with our new bodies sing together every song, even the Hallelujah Chorus, in praise and joy, without a flaw in our voices or hearing. Praise the Lord!
Shining for Him,
